 The Hamptone H122SK1 and H122SK2 units control the speed of a 122 series Leslie by coupling approximately 80Vdc onto each side of the balanced audio signal. It does this through a pair of high grade polypropylene capacitors instead of a transformer. The result is better frequency and phase response, giving a much more "transparent" sound.

BPLUS1:
Power Supply

 Specifically designed for older Hammond Organs like the model
A, AB, BV, BCV, CV, D, DV, E. etc. This unit provides filtered high DC voltage for the B-plus input for the pre amps on these particular organs. The B-plus voltage is normally provided by a Hammond tone cabinet or a 122 type Leslie
Speaker. However, if you want to use a Leslie Speaker other than a 122 type series or a Hammond tone cabinet with these series of Hammond organs, you will need this unit to power up the pre amp to get a sound.

MK1C: Motor Control

 

  At Last, turn your older "single speed" Leslie® into its newer "two speed" counterpart.

The Hamptone Motor Control performs this by synchronously switching the power on / off to the motors at precisely the correct intervals to achieve reduced speeds from a single speed motor.


Power is never interrupted when current is flowing through the motors to provide quiet operation (no switching noise on AC power, i.e. fed into amp). It does not achieve this by varying current or voltage applied to the motor as these methods can cause motor damage.

Solid State Relays
SSR-147 & SSR-122

 

  Are you tired of listening to that nasty "click" and "snapping" sound you get every time you switch your Leslie® from slow to fast? Replace that old and noisy mechanical relay with a silent Hamptone solid state relay.

Unlike the cheaper and simpler
designs, the Hamptone solid state relays are optically isolated to insure safe, reliable operation and will also work properly if using a Hamptone MK1B Motor Control.

The Hamptone solid state relays are available for the 147 type and the 122 type Leslies®.

The Hamptone relay circuit employs two independent logic controlled solid state switches, one for the fast motors and one for the slow. The solid state switches are designed such that they only open or close when no current is flowing through the motors. This also eliminates the possibility of motor switching noise coupled into the audio circuits. Logic circuitry converts the voltage originally used to activate the mechanical relay to a logic signal that powers the appropriate motors.
